Welcome to Pete Weddell.
3. Reading of AGM Minutes
Action: Guillermo please send out.
4. Old Business
Meeting previous to AGM was at Pat and Gord Deans. Minutes were not taken as quorum was not achieved.
5. Correspondence
Main points and updates.
5a. The City of Red Deer is now doing its own planning.
5b. The proposed Waskasoo Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan Draft for the River Glen School Property was received mid December and is currently on the Waskasoo web page. (link here)
5c. The Waskasoo Community Association received correspondence from Inspections and Licensing regarding a new housing development in our neighbourhood. After a number of e-mails with The City the Waskasoo Community Association asked that due process be followed with all applications to our neighbourhood as inconsistencies in the past have led to inappropriate developments.
5d. A new process is now being followed by Neighbourhood Facilities & Community Development regarding funding and community associations. The new process requires a letter and projected expenses for the upcoming year.
Action: Pierre to do an expenses report and letter.
6. Community Associations of Red Deer Meeting
There are 22 community associations within the city of Red Deer. Please contact Emily.Damberger@reddeer.ca for CARD minutes.
The Waskasoo Community Association will now regularly attend the CARD meetings. Kerry and Pete will attend the next meeting.
Thank you Pete for attending the CARD meeting this month.
7. Proposed Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan Draft for the River Glen School Property Update
The Waskasoo Community Association will be meeting with the Planning Department from The City of Red Deer to discuss the first draft of this NASP in early February 2011. The Waskasoo Community Association will put together a response to the draft NASP by February 7, 2011.
8. Area Redevelopment Plan Update
The City of Red Deer is scheduled to start work on a Area Redevelopment Plan with the Waskasoo Neighbourhood in July 2011.
